The second InnovAi Course, Bringing Innovative Ideas Closer to Reality, Along with the New and Expanded Version of the RIT AI Assistant

On October 24th, 25th, 31st, November 1st, and 15th, 2024, the second InnovAi course was held with the enthusiastic participation of more than 100 attendees, both in person and online. This course, taught by Mr. Masoud Shafaghi, Strategic Planning and Executive Office Manager at the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA) in Geneva, Switzerland, went beyond its first edition by incorporating new topics and more product-oriented methods, offering a unique experience for inventors and innovators.

InnovAi II was not just an educational course but a comprehensive program for hands-on learning, networking, and receiving expert consultation. Participants were introduced to the new version of the RIT Engine AI assistant, global statistics, and trends in inventions, helping them systematically develop their ideas with a product-oriented approach.

During the course, Mr. Masoud Shafaghi emphasized the importance of transforming new ideas into marketable products in global markets, stating: “As someone who has been active in this field since 2008 and has interacted with more than 1,000 inventors, innovators, researchers, and specialists worldwide, I have always seen that many people face significant challenges in finding an idea.”

Participants explored new topics that helped them develop their ideas with a product-oriented perspective. One key topic was global invention statistics, which provided insights into international market trends and demands. Additionally, using the RIT AI assistant, participants were able to navigate the different stages of product development—including research and development, design, testing, and marketing—in a structured and efficient manner.

The InnovAi course spanned five days, each dedicated to specific subjects. On the first day, participants were introduced to the fundamental concepts of innovation and invention through new and diverse methods and examples, learning how to identify innovative opportunities. The second day focused on idea development and utilizing the upgraded RIT AI assistant, enabling participants to systematically refine their ideas and progress through research and development stages.

On the third day, participants applied the methods learned in the previous sessions, leveraging the RIT AI assistant’s various capabilities to refine their initial ideas. The fourth day centered on the invention process, with participants advancing their ideas further using the AI assistant and learning how to draft a patent application. On the final day, participants took the last step in registering their inventions by completing and submitting their patent applications to the intellectual property system.

Between the fourth and fifth sessions, participants visited the RIT headquarters in Tehran, Iran, where they refined and finalized their patent applications with the guidance of the RIT mentoring team.

During the second InnovAi course, participants successfully registered more than 70 patent applications and entered the process of expert review and evaluation, further advancing their ideas and innovations.
